Works as a support person with clients. Carries a cell phone for 2-week period and will be on-call at times. Will provide transportation to/from hospital, law enforcement and shelter. Sexual Assault Victims: PAV will accompany victim during rape exam and provide personal advocacy and information as necessary. Domestic Violence Victims: PAV will provide personal advocacy as necessary and will screen victims to assure their eligibility to stay in the shelter.
Requires 40 hours of training. Volunteer Application requires background check.
