Volunteer: Quarterly Newsletter TeamAssists the Volunteer Coordinator in preparing The Crisis Center Hi-Lites newsletter for distribution. This will include folding, stuffing and sealing the newsletters. Duration is usually 1-2 weeks, per quarter. You will need to complete a Volunteer application, which will require a background check. 2 hours training will be given. Will provide transportation to/from hospital, law enforcement and shelter. Sexual Assault Victims: PAV will accompany victim during rape exam and provide personal advocacy and information as necessary. Domestic Violence Victims: PAV will provide personal advocacy as necessary and will screen victims to assure their eligibility to stay in the shelter.

Shall have knowledge of dynamics of sexual assault and family violence and must be completely comfortable with handling crisis situations. Upon completion of phone call, the volunteer must complete a 'hotline call sheet' for statistical purposes.
